Hitting Your Target

Just before you hit the ball, decide where you want to hit it. As you hit the ball out in front of you (groundstrokes and volleys), use your peripheral vision to know what portion of the court will be open. Then follow your hand towards your intended target without looking up from the point of impact. Wherever your hand goes, so goes the strings, and then the ball. You can still finish your follow-through up around your neck as long as your extend your arm and hand forward towards your target first.
